WebTide is the official blog for the UA web design community. This is a blog FOR web designers, BY web designers on The University of Alabama campus.
While web design and development activities on The University of Alabama campus are performed by many different people from many different areas, we all share similar challenges, hurdles and opportunities. And we all benefit from each other’s work as the overall institution’s web presence grows and becomes increasingly effective and representative of our campus as a whole.
So who can contribute here? If you’re a web designer or developer at UA and you think you have something to offer that others might benefit from, or you just want to share something you learned, this is for you. And anyone is welcome to read, comment, ask questions, etc.
So what are you working on? What challenges you, or interests you? Where do you see the web heading, or what new technologies would benefit our institution as a whole? This is your outlet for anything you face in your role, and we hope you’ll become a part of this community.
The Office of Web Communications maintains and contributes regularly to this blog, but we’re here to facilitate discussion - this is your community. So let’s learn from each other, and help improve our institution’s web presence by sharing ideas, questions, or features that will benefit us all.
